Background
Stepping Stones is a registered charity that was established in 1974. It aims to provide high quality, affordable childcare that positively supports a child's development.
Governance is provided by a Board of Directors, with parents of children within the setting being Directors.

The Board of Directors is therefore uniquely placed to understand the needs of children, parents and carers. The Board of Directors actively works with Stepping Stones staff to shape the childcare offering and to raise funds for the charity.

Stepping Stones employs a team of 29 highly trained staff. The organisations' positive ethos and caring environment is reflected in staff retention, with a number of staff employed by the organisation for over 20 years.
All staff involved in childcare delivery at Stepping Stones have relevant industry qualifications and are supported in their continued professional development.

Stepping Stones recognises the important role that nutritionally rich food has in a child's physical development. That's why a qualified in-house chef is a key member of the Stepping Stones team. The chef prepares a menu, which features seasonal fruit and vegetables and also prepares dishes to accommodate children with allergies.

Stepping Stones' kitchen received a five-star food safety hygiene rating at it's latest inspection.
